A teenage girl detonated a suicide bomb in a bus station in Damaturu , Yobe State (Northeast Nigeria) Today Sunday February 15th ( A day after the original election date of Feb 14th Before its postponement) , killing 16 people, most of them children.
Although nobody has yet claimed responsibility for the attack,it is believed that the popular Islamic Terror group - Boko Haram is responsible.
The Female Bomber detonated the bomb at the bus station in Damaturu, Yobe State, at around 1 p.m. Victims include children who had been selling items or begging near the bus station.
Its also gathered that 30 other people were injured. Eye Witnesses at the scene stated that the bomber was around 16 or 17 Years old.
Boko Haram, has been responsible for over 200,000 deaths and many abductions. They were responsible for the abduction of about 276 female students from Chibok, Borno State, Nigeria.
What has raised questions however is the increase the the amount of female suicide bombers in the region since the abduction of the Chibok girls last year.
Many believe the abducted girls were forcefully converted to Islam and hypnotized to carry out the bombings for the terror sect. Could this be true.

Late last year, there were reports that Boko Haram planned to deploy over 50 female Suicide bombers with an aim to killing over 100,000 before the end of last year.
The Nigerian government is yet to fully checkmate this terror group as they advance to nearby regions in the area.
