6 People Shot Dead Over Politicians' Gifts At APC Rally

Six people have been shot dead in the Ajegunle area of Lagos after thugs hijacked a campaign rally while the politicians were giving gifts to the residents.

The campaign rally was organized by a senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to the gathered information, the rally turned violent when some politicians began to share out gifts. All the supporters and residents scrambled for the items. But some thugs, who felt they were being sidelined, attacked the innocent people.

Moreover, two other groups of the thugs also started shooting at one another and vandalizing property.

As a result of the firefight, two brothers (Abeeb and Idris), were among the six persons killed by the bullets.

A shop owner, who witnessed the crime, said that the thugs looted her goods and shot continually.

“Trouble started when the aspirant began to share out gifts to supporters. He gave out mobile phones, pressing irons, among other things. As people scrambled for those gifts, trouble began.

“The thugs brought out guns and began to shoot to scare away people. They began to smash bottles on the ground and attack one another. Even the policemen, who accompanied the rally, fled for their lives.

“Stray bullets hit people. We later heard that about six people were shot dead.”

Its not February 14th yet and some have started killing themselves. May God take Control.
