2 members of Nicki Minaj's tour crew stabbed in Philadelphia; 1 dead

Two members of Nicki Minaj’s touring crew were stabbed outside of a Philadelphia bar while in town for rehearsals, the musician announced Wednesday. One of the men, her tour manager De'Von Pickett, has died.

She took to Twitter, writing, “Two members of my team were stabbed last night in Philly. One was killed. They had only been there for two days rehearsing for the tour."

Pickett, 29, died after being stabbed multiple times in the torso, Mashable reports. Fellow tour employee Eric Parker, 26, was also reportedly stabbed and severely wounded in the altercation, Minaj said.

“The surviving victim was stabbed in the left arm and left side; he is in critical condition at Albert Einstein Medical Center. The police department has issued a ‘$20,000 reward for the arrest and conviction’ of any suspects, [Philadelphia police officer Tanya] Little said,” according to Mashable.

Billboard reports that the incident began during an argument inside the Che Bar & Grill around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, before spilling outside where Pickett and Parker were reportedly stabbed several times.

Officials are in the process of interviewing witnesses and analyzing surveillance video.
